Attach a memorable keyword to any useful clip. When you type it elsewhere, Pastry offers the full original beside your caret.

Name the clip.
Recall it anywhere.

There is no separate snippet library to maintain. Expansions start as ordinary clips, so they can still be searched, tagged, pinned, and updated in one place.

01

Assign a keyword

Choose a clip already in history and give it a short expansion keyword such as @sig, @addr, or @standup.

@SIG
02

Type it normally

Pastry watches the local typing buffer for a match. A compact suggestion appears next to the caret without pulling focus from the current application.

Accept or ignore

Press Tab to replace the keyword with the original clip. Press Escape or keep typing to leave the text exactly as it is.

The boundary

Local recall, with an off-ramp.

Keyword matching and replacement happen on your Mac. Pastry’s ignored-application rules also gate text expansion, and every suggestion can be dismissed without changing what you typed.

Signatures and addresses that must stay consistent

Support replies you personalize before sending

It takes about ninety seconds to install and one afternoon to stop being able to work without it.
